Hustle & Fox @ Camp Bestival

PROBABLY THE BEST FAMILY FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD

On the last weekend in July, Hustle & Fox headed down to Lulworth Castle estate in Dorset to enjoy the 12th Camp Bestival. Founded by Rob & Josie da Bank, the festival has gained a cult following as the best family focussed festival running at the moment. Our mission was to find the best way to shout about that from the rooftops, to utilise our network to spread the word that Camp Bestival was the ONLY festival for families.

Not only did Hustle & Fox mobilise their amazing network of influencers, bloggers and press and out them to work sharing the Camp Bestival magic, we also worked closely with Camp Bestival to help create a relevant Parenting Programme that added real value for families wanting something more from their festivals.

We worked with Zoe de Pass aka Dress Like A Mum to help host an open house meet up that included free gifts in collaboration with Next, nails by Shoreditch Nails and, of course, glitter makeovers thanks to Jingo Events. Jemma Thomas (@jemmas_health_hub) kicked off the weekend with a wake up exercise session - the perfect way to clear a fuzzy head and the best way to kick start your day at the festival.

We hosted panel chats with Newton Faulkner, discussing his new kids’ music project My Moozik and saw them fill the Big Top tent with kids and parents delighted to find music that they could both love. We also hosted another panel with Tom Cox and Kate Mitchell talking about single-sex parenting. We asked the wonderful Carrie Anne Roberts (aka Mere Souer) to host a panel talking all things single parenting and had the super crafty Emma Scott Child come to run a craft workshop for parents that think they hate craft (you can buy her LIFE CHANGING book here!). Overall, we wanted to convey the true ethos of Camp Bestival: to unplug, to connect face to face, to talk real talk, to listen to great music and to dance with your kids on your shoulders as the sun goes down.
